Calcutta

For time, Calcutta was the British capital of India. Calcutta is India's largest metropolis, with more than 11 million people. It's the commercial center of India, as can be seen in Dalhousie Square, where tall office buildings mercantile houses rise. The famous Chowringhee is a wide avenue with shops, theaters, clubsm and restaurants on one side and a large stretch green part (called Maidan) on the other. Other inportant sights include the cary moving Mother Teresa's Ashram Home of Children and the Marble Palace mansion, with its valuable paintings and statues.
