Visa to Cape Verde: Tourist Visa, Business Visa

In order to obtain a visa to Cape Verde applicants should provide the following:

Tourist visa

1. Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page.
2. 1 passport-type photograph.
3. 1 filled out visa application form
4. Printed and filled out order form.
5. Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent;

Fees and proccessing time

Fee: US$95. Processing time: 2-3 days.

Business visa

1. Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page.
2. 1 passport-type photograph.
3. 1 filled out visa application form
4. Printed and filled out order form.
5. A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Cape Verde, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
The letter must explain:
• Nature of business to be performed;
• Name and address of reference to be visited;
• Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
• The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Fee: US$95. Processing time: 2-3 days.

Additional information

The Cape Verde tourist or business visa is usually valid for multiple entries for up to five years after the first entry, provided the first entry is within three months of date of issue. Period of stay is not limited. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever must be presented on entry if arriving from an infected area.
