The Kalyan Mosque, Bukhara
The Kalyan Mosque was completed sometime in the early fifteen hundreds, this historic monument is breathtakingly beautiful. Supported by two hundred and eight pillars, it has a massive mosaic drum topped with a huge blue cupola. The intricate design is exquisite; the colors of blue and turquoise and the graceful entranceway of the main portal are spectacular. This sight is so impressive that it is an unforgettable experience for travelers to Bukhara. Monuments such as this, unique to Bukhara, are the kind of treasures to be seen on a tour of ancient Uzbekistan.
