Medeo in Almaty, KAzakhstan

Medeo is a beautiful valley located 15 km from Almaty. Peaceful nature and breathtaking attractions, among which is the world's largest speed skating rink called Medea. The other one is a finest piece of engineeringa a dike, and was built to protect the city of Almaty from mud floods. Dike's collector has an impressive capacity for 6.000.000 cubic meters of water. And at last, at the end of the gorge created a ski resort Chimbulak, located at an altitude of 2.200 meters above the sea level. It is one of Central Asia's top ranking skiing spots. The ski season starts from November and ends in April.
