The New Dehli and Delhi are really who separate cities, but because of their proximity to each other they 're considered to be who sections of one city. The New Delhi is the present seat of government. The cicrular Parliment House and the residence of the Prime Minister are of great interest to the tourists. Other attractions include the Qutub Minar (a twelfth-century tower built of red sandstone), the Lakshmi Temple, and various tombs. Here you can visit the tombs of Mahatma Ghandi and Prime Minister Nehru, both of which have become national shrines. The old part of the city, called Delhi, offers the Red Fort, 300 years old, which contains relics of the palace of Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal. Here also is the Jama Masjid mosque, one of the largest in the world.
