Day 25 - Telavi – Sighnaghi – Tbilisi (Georgia)

Visit Great Caucasus Mountains and valleys of Kakheti, acknowledge traditions and culture of the country and region, taste wines and delicious food. Visit fortified town of Sighnaghi, ethnographic museum in Sighnaghi. After lunch, drive to visit farmer’s house to see a unique 300 year-old wine-cellar. You get acquainted with the Georgian way of wine-making, quite different from the European one and drink typical Georgian wine straight from the clay jars. Afterwards drive to Tbilisi. Day 26 - Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gori – Tbilisi (Georgia)

Excursion to the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical places: Jvari church (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) where the Robe of Christ is buried - UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit town of Gori – the heart of Kartli region, have lunch and drive to visit Uplistsikhe Cave Town (1st millennium BC), that’s the place where the Great Silk Road used to pass.
