Travel is not only about logistics and itineraries — it is about how you feel. Each traveler decides for themselves where they feel emotionally safe. We respect that completely.
For us, the true foundation of every successful journey is your inner sense of security and comfort.
At the same time, we would like to offer perspective: concerns about safety in our tours to Central Asia, the Caucasus, and China may not reflect the geopolitical reality of these regions.
Central Asia: A Distinct Geopolitical Region
Central Asia includes:
- Kazakhstan
- Kyrgyzstan
- Uzbekistan
- Tajikistan
- Turkmenistan
These five nations are former Soviet republics, shaped by a shared Soviet past rather than Middle Eastern political dynamics.
It is important to emphasize:
- Central Asia is geographically and geopolitically separate from the Middle East.
- These countries have different political structures, alliances, and regional priorities.
- They do not share strategic or political interests tied to Middle Eastern conflicts.
Turkmenistan and Regional Neutrality
Central Asia — and Turkmenistan in particular — does not share political or strategic interests with Iran.
Turkmenistan is officially recognized as a permanently neutral country. It is highly separate from Middle Eastern geopolitics and does not participate in regional conflicts.
Iran is considered part of the Middle East. The countries included in our tours belong to Central Asia — a different geopolitical space entirely.
Historically, regardless of tensions involving Iran, Israel, or the United States, these events have never affected internal stability or tourism operations in Central Asia. Travel operations in the region have continued normally.
The Caucasus: A Unique Cultural Bridge
The Caucasus region includes:
- Georgia
- Armenia
- Azerbaijan
Like Central Asia, these countries were also part of the former Soviet Union and have distinct historical trajectories separate from Middle Eastern geopolitics.
While geographically positioned between Europe and Asia, the Caucasus maintains its own political dynamics and regional identity. It is not part of the Middle East, and developments there do not translate into instability across the Caucasus.
China: A Separate Global Power
China is a global power with its own independent geopolitical position and internal governance structure.
It operates within its own regulatory and security systems, entirely separate from Middle Eastern regional developments.

If we ever believed a destination posed a genuine risk, we would act immediately.
Crime and Daily Safety
Crime rates in all countries included in our tours are very low. It is highly unlikely that anything would happen to a visitor — even if walking alone in the evening in central areas.

Local people throughout Central Asia and the Caucasus are known for their hospitality and warmth. Guests are treated with respect, curiosity, and generosity. We are confident that throughout the tour you will always be in safe and supportive surroundings.
U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Status
According to the U.S. Department of State travel advisory system:
- Most Central Asian republics are categorized as Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions.
- Tajikistan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are currently categorized as Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution, primarily due to specific border-related considerations.
Importantly, our tour routes do not operate near any conflict-sensitive border areas.
The advisory levels for Central Asia have not changed in response to developments in the Middle East, as these regions are geopolitically distinct.
Geography and Perspective Matter
To clarify:
- Middle East: Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, etc.
- Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan
- Caucasus: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan
- East Asia: China
These are separate geopolitical regions with different histories, alliances, and security frameworks.
Central Asia and the Caucasus share a Soviet past and evolved within different political systems than Middle Eastern states. Their modern governance and regional alignments reflect that difference.
Travel With Confidence
The Silk Road has connected civilizations for centuries — across deserts, mountains, and empires. Today, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and China remain culturally vibrant, politically stable travel regions.
Ultimately, the decision to travel is personal. But it should be based on facts rather than assumptions.
